Course Overview
Join us for NCDA’s Leadership Institute, a four-course interactive training designed for both new and experienced supervisors and managers working in the community development field. The institute includes four core courses: 1) Team Building, 2) Management, 3) Leadership, and 4) Communication.
This course is part of the four-part series and focuses on communication strategies essential for community development professionals. The content includes practical examples directly related to administering CDBG and HOME programs. Participants will engage in peer-to-peer learning and discussion while working through real-world scenarios related to communication with constituents, stakeholders, and local leadership.

Registering Multiple People On This Form
To register more people during this session, after you enter the information for the first registrant, click on the button labeled "Add Another Registrant". Repeat the process for each additional registrant. Once you have registered all staff members, continue on to the Billing and Payment sections beneathe the final registrant. You must complete everything through Billing in order to complete the registration.

CONFIRMATION MESSAGE: You will receive a confirmation message from "National Community Development Association" immediately after you register. Please bring this confirmation message with you to the class (hard copy or on your device) so it can be scanned.
Your confirmation message will contain an invoice ("Billing Information).
If you do not receive this confirmation message it means your registration did not complete and you are not registered. In this case, please contact NCDA Staff.
Cancelations, No-shows, Late Fees & Substitutions
Cancelation Deadline: May 15, 2026
You are considered registered upon submission of this form (regardless of payment status), unless you have been notified via email that you are on a waiting list. Once registered, you are subject to this cancellation policy. All cancelations must be made by contacting [email protected] .
You may substitute another person for a paid registration at any time up to the Friday before the start of the course without additional charge by emailing [email protected] .
Advance Payment Required
Participants are encouraged to pay by Credit Card if possible. A 3.5% convenience fee applies to all credit card transactions. Registrants may not be allowed into the conference if their registration fee has not been paid in full by May 15, 2026. Please contact [email protected] to discuss any payments that cannot be issued prior to conference start.
TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS:
Hotel Information and booking link for NCDA's Annual Meeting will be available in the confirmation email after registering. For planning purposes, the nightly rate is $138, plus 14% tax. The resort fee is waived. Attendees will provide a credit card at the time of booking which will guarantee the reservation. The reservation includes a cancellation policy allowing changes up to 48 hours before arrival at no charge. The room block will be available till May 15 unless we sell out before that date. The hotel will extend the rate 3 days before and after the conference.
AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION
Pittsburgh International Airport is minutes away from the conference hotel. The airport is served by a wide variety of airlines, and there are many ground transportation options, including plentiful taxis, ride shares, and shuttles. Find more information here: https://flypittsburgh.com/
